Kristie Price Faust

Intensive Tap, Company Tap

Kristie Price Faust has been dancing since the age of 5. She was a member of the Loranger High Wolfette dance team for 4 years. While dancing as a Wolfette, she was selected as an American All-Star dancer and served as Captain. Kristie was also the owner and director of a local dance studio for 8 years offering ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical instruction. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003 as a registered nurse and from the University of South Alabama in 2011 as a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Heather Simmons

Hip Hop 3, Hip Hop 5

Heather Crowe Simmons began dancing at the age of 3. She attended Rowanna Currier’s studio of dance for 14 years, where she was a member of the Louisiana Heat Dance Company for 3 years. Heather was a Jackette at Oak Forest Academy for 6 years, where she served as Captain her 9th & 12th grade years. She was also selected as an American All-Star for 3 years & got the opportunity to travel to London, England to perform. After high school, Heather went on to dance for the SLU Lionette Dance Team for 4 years & performed at the UDA Collegiate Nationals each year in Orlando, Florida. While finishing her college degree, she was chosen to be a member of the New Orleans Saintsation Dance Team. Heather is a graduate in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Delany Johnson

Hip Hop 1, Office Assistant

Delany Johnson began dancing at the age of 3. She attended Mrs. Rowanna Currier's Studio of Dance, where she studied tap and ballet. She also attended Center Stage Studio and studied hip hop. She has danced with Covington Dance Company for the past 8 years, studying tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She was a member of Covington Dance Company's Company Class for 4 years also serving as an assistant teacher for hip hop. Delany graduated from Oak Forest Academy. She was a member of the JV Jackettes for 3 years and served as dance committee chairperson. She also was a Varsity Cheerleader for 3 years. Dancing has always been an enjoyment for Delany. She is thankful for having this opportunity to share and enhance her dance technique with other dancers.

Whitley Ballard

Hip Hop 6

Whitley Ballard grew up in Kentwood and currently lives in Roseland with her husband, Josh. She began dance classes at the age of 3 and has studied and loved dance every day since. She graduated from Oak Forest Academy and while there, was a member of the dance and cheer teams. In junior high Whitley served the JV Jackette dance team as co-Captain her eighth grade year and Captain her freshmen year. Also during her freshmen year, she was moved up to the varsity team to dance with the Varsity Jackettes. She switched to cheer in high school serving as the cheer committee chair person her junior year and Captain her senior year. She also began dance classes at Covington Dance Company her senior year. Upon graduating high school, Whitley attended Southeastern Louisiana University and has a Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Whitley began teaching at Covington Dance Company in 2010. She took a small break to go live and work in the Virgin Islands doing disaster recovery. Now she is happier than ever to be back home at CDC!

Stacey Hausey

Beginner II Ballet and Tap, Mini Jazz, Ballet Intensive I

Stacey Hausey has been studying dance for over 40 years. For 23 consecutive years she studied with the Baton Rouge Talent Academy, where she choreographed and was a lead dancer for eight years. During her time at BRTA, Stacey was chosen to study under the direction of internationally known choreographer and teacher Joe Tremaine. Stacey’s training includes ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical dance. She was a member of the Baker High School Dance Team for two years, and received numerous accolades through Super Star Drill Team where she was also chosen to be a staff member her senior year. Through her dance career, she provided choreography for BREC theatre programs and other groups in the Baton Rouge area. Stacey was the owner and director of a dance studio for 17 years offering classes in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical instruction. Stacey is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue her dance career and share her passion for dance with the students of Covington Dance Company.

Carolyn Reed McPherson

Office Manager, Advanced Jazz & Lyrical, Jr. Jazz, Company Jazz

Carolyn Reed McPherson began her dance career at the age of 3 and attended Rowanna Currier's Studio of Dance. Carolyn then found her home at CDC where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and hip hop for 8 years. She was a part of the Company Team at CDC for 4 years and was an assistant teacher for Teen Jazz. While in highschool, she was a member of the OFA JV and Varsity Jackettes, where she served as captain her freshman and senior years. She was chosen as a UDA All-American Dancer her sophomore, junior, and senior years. After graduating high school, Carolyn attended Louisiana State University and continued to study dance from the LSU School of Theatre her freshman year. She graduated from LSU in May of 2021 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. After college, Carolyn was accepted into the North Oaks Medical Center Dietetic Internship program and graduated in June of 2022. She is now working full time as a clinical Registered Dietitian. She also recently coached the OFA JV Jackettes for 2 years bringing home 3 state championship titles in jazz and pom under her direction. Carolyn is excited for another year at the studio and thankful for the opportunity to share her passion of dance with our dancers!

Hailey Johnson Peek

Primary I Ballet & Tap, Primary II Ballet & Tap, Beginner I Ballet & Tap, Office Assistant

Hailey Johnston Peek began her dance career at the age of 5 at Center Stage Dance studio in Roseland for 7 years. While at Center stage Hailey competed in multiple dance competitions around the state. In 2012 she was able to perform in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. Hailey then found her forever home at CDC where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and hip hop for 6 years. She was also a member of the Company Team at CDC for 4 years. During her time at CDC, she assisted various classes and was the office assistant for 3 years. While attending high school, she was a member of the Oak Forest Academy JV and Varsity Jackettes dance team where she served as Co- Captain her freshman year and dance committee member her Senior year. After graduating high school, Hailey attended The University of Louisiana Monroe before transferring to Southeastern Louisiana University. She will graduate in December 2022 with a degree in General Studies. Hailey Is also a full time clerk at the Tangipahoa Parish Assessor’s Office. Hailey is excited for the future of the studio and thankful for the opportunity to continue to share her passion for dance with the students of Covington Dance Company!

Olivia Price

Competition Team Director, Ballet Intensive II, Hip Hop 4, Intermediate I Ballet & Tap

Olivia Price began dancing at the age of 7 at A Touch Of Class Performing Arts. There she studied all dance styles including hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, and tumbling. She was a part of the competition team and has travelled around the country competing and taking classes. She was a member of both the J.V. and Varsity Jackettes where she served as Captain on both teams. She graduated from Oak Forest Academy in 2021. Olivia now attends Southeastern Louisiana University where she majors in Kinesiology, with the hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Olivia has always had a passion for dance, and can’t wait to teach her students everything that has made her fall in love with the art of dance!

Jaden Lambert

Primary I Ballet & Tap, Primary II Ballet & Tap

Jaden Lambert Bio: Jaden began her dance career at the age of 5 and attended Center Stage Studio for 2 years. Then, she attended Covington Dance Company for 11 years where she participated in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and hip hop. Jaden was a part of the Company Team at CDC for 4 years and was an assistant teacher for Primary I ballet and tap for 7 years, and an assistant teacher for Hip Hop I for two years. While in high school, she was a member of the OFA JV Jackettes for 3 years and Varsity Jackettes for one year. After graduating high school, Jaden attended Louisiana State University. She recently graduated from LSU in May of 2024 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Administration with a minor in Business Administration and Communication. After college, Jaden was accepted into Graduate school at LSU where she will soon graduate with her MBA. Jaden recently accepted a full time position to teach 8th grade at Oak Forest Academy and is excited and thankful for the opportunity to return back to CDC.

Samantha Thompson

Petite Jazz, Hip Hop 2, Hip Hop 6

Samantha Thompson began her dance career at the age of 3 years old. She attended Center Stage Dance Studio for 7 years and Lemoine Academy of Dance for 1 year. While at Center Stage, Samantha competed in multiple dance competitions around the state. Samantha then attended Covington Dance Company for 7 years where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe and hip hop and was a member of the company dance team for 4 years. During her time at CDC, she was an assistant teacher for Primary I and Teen Jazz. While in high school, she was a member of the Oak Forest Academy JV and Varsity Jackettes dance team where she served as captain her freshman and senior years. After graduating high school, Samantha attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she graduated in May of 2024 receiving a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Management. She is now working full time at Southland Steel in Amite as an Accounting Clerk. Samantha is thrilled to be back doing what she loves and is excited to kick off her first year as a teacher at CDC.

Liz Addington

Musical Theater

Liz Addington is excited to teach musical theatre at CDC. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from The University of Southern Mississippi. Her early part of her career was spent as an actress and director in Atlanta in children's theatre. She has directed several local productions through the years and has recently performed in Southern Fried Funeral and Fiddler on the Roof. She currently teaches talented theatre in the Tangipahoa Parish School System. Students in musical theatre will learn the basics of acting, stage direction, stage makeup, voice and movement. Students will put together a small performance.

Krystal Hennager

Ballet Intensive II, Advanced Ballet & Pointe

Krystal began dancing at age 3. At 10 she left her small town school in Tennessee and began studying with The Van Metre School of Dance, training personally with Royal Academy of Dance graduate Cheryl Van Metre. At age 12, she became a senior company member of the Appalachian Ballet Company. By 13, Ms Hennager was accepted to the Boston’s Ballets Summer Intensive, reserved for ages 15+. She has continued her education with masters in each discipline of Ballet theory. During her professional career, Ms Hennager has enjoyed lead solo status as a gala performer for the Southeast Regional Ballet Association. She has danced principal and lead roles for the Appalachian Ballet Company in ballets such as award-winning short “Flight”, “Swan Lake”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Giselle” and “The Nutcracker.” Later in her career, while still performing for contract, Krystal became the Artistic Director of Arts In Motion II, and accepted the position of Tap department Director at the Cumberland County Playhouse. It is during this time she won the coveted, “TN Governor’s School, Outstanding Teacher Award.” In 2012 Ms Hennager moved to Louisiana in support of her husband‘s career. Since then she has worked with local dance studios spreading her knowledge and passion for the art of ballet, but must say the role of mom has been her most important and favorite accolade to date. She now lives in Amite, with her husband, Steve, son Brycelyn and their rescue dogs.

Hollie Hausey

Beginner III Ballet & Tap

Hollie Hausey has had an extensive journey in dance, starting at the young age of two at Feliciana Dance. Her passion and dedication led her to Covington Dance Company in 2016, where she further honed her skills in various dance forms including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Hollie was a member of the Company Team for two years and has served as an assistant teacher for six years. During her time as an assistant teacher at CDC, Hollie contributed to several classes, including Intermediate I, Intermediate III, Beginner II, and Mini Jazz, showcasing her versatility and ability to connect with students across different levels and styles of dance. Academically, Hollie is a graduate of Silliman Institute and currently a student at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her future plans include pursuing nursing school starting in the fall of 2024. Hollie is excited to share her love of dance with the students of Covington Dance Company

Presley McGraw

Intermediate Jazz, Teen Jazz & Lyrical

Presley McGraw began dancing at the age of 2 at the Lemoine Academy of Dance. Presley soon found a forever studio at CDC, where she studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Out of the 14 years she attended CDC, four were spent on the company team, and six were spent assisting jazz classes. Presley graduated from Oak Forest Academy in 2024. During her time there, she was a member of the JV and Varsity Jackettes and served as co-captain in her freshman and senior years. She currently attends Southeastern Louisiana University, is majoring in psychology, and plans to have a career in the psychiatric field. Presley is very thankful for the opportunity to teach at the studio and excited to spend another year doing what she loves!
